Cusco Charmed and Inspired us.

Peru's city of Cusco invites you in breathlessly. Crisp fresh air up this high.. you adapt quickly, you must. Sip on some warm tea and start exploring. Rows and rows of beautiful textiles, organic pottery and original woodwork. It gives you inspiration to keep wandering these ancient narrow streets. Streets filled with Spanish colonial architecture, huge beautiful stone walls and unique charming doors at every turn. You don't want to miss anything. Here, many structures share the foundation from old Incan buildings, a glimpse into the days of when Cusco was the Incan capital. Cusco's Cathedral is just stunning! Then, as you enter, you are immersed into a Baroque wonderland. This building means everything to the people of this glorious city. You can truly feel the warmth of everything this city is made up of just ooze through the walls of the incredible old buildings. I was inspired to come home and acquire old pottery to fill my back yard with. To surround myself with old beauty, add some warm colors to my house and sip on some Peruvian coffee with warm whole milk. So, my lesson learned, we must appreciate ALL we have. Old, new, little or abundant. It comes down to appreciating the simple things in life. This will always result in happiness. I hope you enjoy these beautiful photos of Cusco and find some inspiration from them as well.
